OUR ORGANIZATION

The Integrated Action for Development Initiatives (IADI) is a development organization dedicated to helping local communities grow and become self-sufficient. Established 21 years ago, IADI primarily operates in the Shama District of Ghana's Western Region, where it focuses on empowering individuals and fostering sustainable development.

Unfortunately, many women and girls in this region face significant challenges related to poverty, exclusion, and marginalization. They often lack access to the resources, opportunities, and systems that are crucial for achieving economic, social, and political empowerment. This lack of access creates barriers that prevent them from fully participating in their communities and reaching their potential.

As a result, many girls are adversely affected by these challenges. They may drop out of school due to financial constraints or cultural pressures, or they might struggle to pursue any career opportunities. This cycle of exclusion not only impacts their individual futures but also perpetuates inter-generational poverty and deprivation within their families and communities. By addressing these issues, IADI aims to create a more equitable and inclusive environment where women and girls can thrive and contribute to their communities.
