Here are some of the impactful projects we have successfully executed over the years.

Doors to the Future

IADI launched the "Doors to the Future" project with funding from the Polish Aid Small Grants Programme and STAR Ghana. The project's objective was to enhance the overall quality of education and reduce the BECE failure rate from 70% to 30%.

When the project began, the BECE failure rate stood at 70%. Here’s how we achieved our goal.

Reading and Writing Clubs

Over the years, we established reading and writing clubs in 12 schools and conducted a 2-day residential leadership training program for 80 girls, representing 25% of club members.

We also launched the "Stories on Solutions for Successful Societies" project, from which we selected the 10 best submissions for advocacy initiatives. By the second year, all 26 clubs were fully operational with a structured curriculum, and we organized another leadership training session along with an inter-school competition.

In the third year, community-based youth volunteers took on the role of facilitators, leading to inter-zonal and district-level competitions.

Quality of Education

The project successfully achieved its objectives by improving the quality of education, reducing BECE failure rates, enhancing teaching techniques, and establishing networks for sustainable improvement. The efforts made in each result area significantly contributed to creating a conducive learning environment and fostering community involvement in education.
